The first SNAPS near infra-red HD 808#16D video camera has gone out to Roger Griffith to see if it useful for his areas of interest. These cameras can be velcroed onto the frame of a Picavet suspension (with additional safety line) to supplement one of the standard Pentax cameras, or simply flown on the wire starter rig. As with the normal 808, you simply turn it on and press the start button, with no settings to worry about ;o)

We are initiating the second phase of SNAPS, while phase one is still ongoing.
Those who are happy with their results in phase one, and have sent us images for the SNAPS page, will be considered for a Standard, 720nm near infra-red converted, compact camera. This will probably be a Canon camera operating with a pre-installed CHDK memory card.
830nm Near IR converted, 808#16D starter camera kits will continue to be issued, primarily for use by children.
